Mapped to CQC

All 414 checks, mapped to the single assessment framework

Every audit question in MyCareCompliance is mapped to a CQC key question, a quality statement and the underlying fundamental standard. This page shows all 414 checks in full — the criterion itself, what an auditor is looking for, and the evidence you should be able to produce.

Last reviewed: September 2026. This guidance reflects CQC information available at the date above — always refer to cqc.org.uk for current regulatory requirements.

How the mapping works

Fundamental standards set the legal requirement. CQC's five key questions and 34 quality statements set how your service is assessed. Each of our checks sits under a quality statement and names the regulation it evidences, so a failed check tells you exactly which part of the framework is at risk.

  • Every check names its regulation, key question and quality statement
  • Each check carries auditor guidance describing what good and poor practice look like
  • Each check lists the evidence categories an inspector would expect to see
  • Failed checks become tracked improvement actions with an owner, due date and evidence

CQC checklist: coverage by key question

Use this as a readiness checklist. If you cannot evidence a quality statement below, that is the gap an inspector is most likely to find first.

These are the evidence types the checks ask for most often, with the number of checks that request each one.
