Cookie notice
Last updated: 12 September 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, which the portal uses to hold your signed-in session securely in your browser. We treat local storage the same way we treat cookies.
2. The rules we follow
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we may set strictly necessary cookies without consent. Anything else — including analytics — requires your consent before it is set, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
3. What we use
| Category | Purpose | Consent | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep you signed in, protect the sign-in form, maintain your session and enforce automatic timeout. The portal cannot work without these. | No consent required | In use |
| Preferences | Remember choices you make, such as dismissing the on-site assistant or a notice, so you are not shown it repeatedly. | Exempt where strictly for a feature you requested | In use |
| Analytics | Measure how visitors move through the public pages so we can improve them. | Consent required before being set | Not used |
| Advertising | Tracking for advertising or profiling across other websites. | Consent required | Not used |
Strictly necessary session cookies and stored session data last for your signed-in session and expire when it times out or you sign out. Preference entries persist until you clear your browser data.
4. Third parties
We do not run third-party advertising or social media tracking on this site. Our hosting and security providers may set strictly necessary cookies to route traffic and protect the service.
5. Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you clear site data for a single site. Blocking strictly necessary cookies or clearing session storage will sign you out of the portal and may stop it working. If we introduce analytics, we will add a consent banner that lets you accept or reject before anything non-essential is set.
