For registered managers
Compliance software for registered managers
As a registered manager you are personally accountable to CQC for how the service is run. Most of the week goes on care, staffing and families, so compliance work gets squeezed into evenings. This page explains what you are responsible for, and how software can take the chasing and filing off your plate.
MyCareCompliance brings practical CQC audits, evidence, workforce oversight and improvement actions into one platform for adult social care providers.
7 days free. Plans from £24.99 per organisation per month, inclusive of VAT. Features vary by plan. Compare plans and trial terms.

Who it applies to
Registered managers, deputy managers and aspiring managers in CQC-registered adult social care services. For the formal requirements of the role, see the registered manager requirements guide.
What you are answerable for
- Regulation 7: being fit, with the qualifications, skills and experience to manage the service
- The fundamental standards being met day to day
- Notifications to CQC without delay
- Knowing your risks and acting on them — CQC expects you to know your service's weaknesses before it does
A typical week, and where time goes
- Monday: which audits are due, and what is overdue from last month
- Midweek: chasing staff for DBS renewals, training and supervisions
- After any incident: deciding whether to notify, updating risk assessments
- Month end: pulling figures together for the provider or nominated individual
What good software should do for you
- Show on one screen what is due, overdue and at risk
- Turn every failed audit question into an action with an owner
- Warn you before staff documents expire
- Build the monthly governance report from records you already keep
- Keep evidence filed against the quality statement it supports, ready for inspection
Practical checklist
- Audit schedule set for the year
- Open actions reviewed weekly
- Staff document expiries checked monthly
- Incidents screened for notification
- Monthly report sent to the provider
