For nominated individuals and directors

Compliance dashboard for nominated individuals

The nominated individual is responsible for supervising the management of the regulated activity on behalf of the provider. That means oversight, not doing the registered manager's job — but you need reliable information to challenge and support them. CQC's Well-led assessment looks closely at whether provider-level oversight actually works.

MyCareCompliance brings practical CQC audits, evidence, workforce oversight and improvement actions into one platform for adult social care providers.

Who it applies to

Nominated individuals, directors and owners of CQC-registered adult social care providers, especially those with more than one location or who are not on site every day.

What oversight means in practice

  • Knowing each location's current position without waiting to be told
  • Checking that audits happen on schedule and actions get closed
  • Seeing incidents, safeguarding and complaints trends across the organisation
  • Challenging when the same issue keeps coming back
  • Recording your oversight, for example in provider visit reports and governance minutes

What the dashboard should show

  • An overall assurance score and a breakdown by the five key questions
  • Audits overdue and actions past their due date, by location
  • Repeat findings
  • Staff compliance: training, supervision and document expiries
  • A monthly governance report you can take to the board

Why it matters at inspection

Inspection reports often find that providers had no effective oversight of a failing service. Being able to show what you saw each month, and what you did about it, is strong Well-led evidence under Regulation 17.

Practical checklist

  • Monthly review of each location's dashboard
  • Overdue actions challenged with the manager
  • Provider visit recorded
  • Governance report reviewed and minuted
  • Risks escalated to the board where needed
